FUQUAY-VARINA (WTVD) -- State troopers are investigating an accident after a vehicle was found overturned in a Fuquay-Varina tobacco field overnight.

Authorities told ABC11 that a 19-year-old driver was speeding and lost control of the car along Wilbon Road, just outside of town limits.

The teen was found unconscious outside of the vehicle in the field and was taken to WakeMed hospital in unknown condition.

It was not clear if the driver was 'thrown' from the car, according to officials.

Authorities said they believed alcohol was a factor in the crash.

At the crash site Friday morning, men's soccer cleats, small unopened bottles of beer and a neon hat that read "YOUNG WILD & FREE" were among debris from the wreckage.
