CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Cary business was evacuated for almost two hours Tuesday when an employee came across a suspicious package.

Authorities were called to Research Triangle Software in the ERA building in the 1100 block of Kildaire Farm Road around noon after a mailroom worker discovered that a package contained a plastic bag with a white substance in it.

The worker did not open the package, which was addressed to the company's CEO, and Raleigh Hazmat was called to the scene.

Three people in the office reported headaches after coming in contact with the package. However, no one went to hospital.

It was unclear what the substance was. The package has been turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services for testing.
