Police have released a surveillance photo of a man who stole a box of costume jewelry.

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A crook who struck in Cary will soon learn that all that glitters is not gold.

Police have released a surveillance photo of a man who stole a box of costume jewelry.

Someone broke into the Jewel Recycle in the 1200-block of Kildaire Farm Road on Feb. 15.

The suspect was described as a white male, roughly six-feet tall and weighing around 180-200 pounds. He was wearing a black leather jacket, cargo pants, hiking boots and face mask. He was carrying a large camping backpack and pry tools.

Officers say the thief may be connected to other recent business break-ins in the area.
