A family of gun-owners apprehended the suspects they believe to be responsible for breaking into their home last week after seeing them drive by their house a few days later.

Homeowner Chris Wyatt captured footage of the break-in on his home surveillance system on Friday afternoon. In the video, a woman is seen knocking on the Wyatts' front door. When no one answers, the woman along with two accomplices break down the door, and run out with two TVs and several of the family's Christmas presents, including those for their one year old son.

Chris Wyatt said he witnessed the suspects drive by his home Sunday afternoon, and so he and two other family members stopped their vehicle.

"They tried to say that they were lost, and we corrected them where they were," said Chris Wyatt.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrived a short time later, taking a man and two women into custody. Investigators have not yet confirmed the identities of the individuals, nor filed any charges yet, but Wyatt is certain that two of the three suspects are those caught on his surveillance video.

"They broke into another house before this and luckily there stolen stuff was still in that vehicle," said Chris Wyatt.

The other homeowner was brought to the scene where he identified most of his belongings still in the suspect's car. However, the Wyatts are still looking to get back what was stolen from their own home.

"At least we're all safe and in one piece and they are off the street for now," said wife Sarah Wyatt.
