8-year-old boy pulled from burning home in Cumberland County

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Firefighters rushed into a burning home Sunday morning to save a child trapped inside.

The flames broke out just before 7 a.m. in the 2900 block of Selma Drive in Cumberland County.

The rest of the family was able to escape.

Investigators say the 8-year-old boy is now recovering at UNC Hospitals.

No word yet on how badly he was hurt.
