RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police say robbers burst into a Raleigh home early Saturday morning and forced men, women, and children into a bathroom at gunpoint.

The home invasion happened just before 5 a.m. in east Raleigh in the 1300 block of Park Glen Drive.

One of the victims in the violent armed robbery spoke exclusively to ABC11 about the frightening ordeal.

Three men, wearing masks, burst into a Raleigh apartment as children were sleeping.

Tobias Graham was awake when the side door was kicked in and three armed robbers ambushed the garden level apartment. A gun was pressed to the 24-year-old's temple.

"As soon as I heard the 'kaboom,' I looked up and I really didn't even get to see how many people came in," said Graham. "It was so fast, he grabbed my dreads and put the gun right to my head."

Graham's pregnant girlfriend was also threatened.

"They put a gun to her head and my head," said Graham.

Another woman was inside sleeping, as well as five young children.

"I was scared," he said. "It was crazy. I have never been through nothing like that."

The robbers, armed with their guns, went to where the kids were sleeping and woke them up. Everyone in the house was ushered into the bathroom and forced into the shower.

The victims were blindfolded while the robbers ransacked the apartment.

The thieves, wearing masks and gloves, grabbed cash and fled the apartment.

Graham is thankful nobody was seriously hurt.

"Nothing happen to the kids," he said. "The whole time they were in there, I was just like 'Leave the kids alone, leave my girl.' I wasn't even worried about myself at the time. I was just worried about the kids."

There have been no arrests. Police say they're actively investigating.
