Dad locks up daughter to keep her from drugs
Paige O'Leary admits that she is addicted to drugs.

CANADA -- A Canadian father is willing to risk it all to save his daughter from her destructive habits.

Sean O'Leary's 16-year-old daughter says she likes going out with her friends and nothing is going to stop her. She also admits that she is addicted to drugs.

"Xanax and cocaine mostly -- nothing else," Paige O'Leary said.

Her father says the teen's behavior terrifies him, so he took a desperate measure forcing his daughter to stay at home and off drugs, but in Canada that's illegal.

"By holding them in your house and not letting them out to do drugs, you're breaking the law," Sean O'Leary said. "Any options as a family you're left with requires us to break the law. In order to help our 16-year-old kid, who is - in my opinion as her father - is at times close to death."

However, Paige knows her rights, so she called police and the officers came to her house, picked her up, and drove her to her friend's house to do drugs.

Ottawa police say if a teen is over 16 there is nothing they can do to make them stay.
