VANCE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Four people in Vance County were taken to the hospital late Thursday night following a hazmat scare.

Around 11 p.m., authorities were called to a home in the 100 block of Big Buck Lane in Henderson.

Shortly after deputies arrived, they become ill due to chemicals in the air.

Three deputies and another person were taken to the hospital after officials said a white haze filled the air near a camper behind the home.

Authorities were concerned there was a possible meth lab, but later determined it was some household chemicals that got mixed together.

The four people impacted by the chemicals are expected to be okay.
