Deputies say man shot himself at Spring Lake gun shop

SPRING LAKE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Monday a man shot himself at Guns Plus gun shop and indoor shooting range on N. Bragg Boulevard in Spring Lake.

Deputies said the man in his 40s was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.

The man has not been identified. Deputies said at first they were treating the case as a possible accidental shooting, but then ruled it a suicide.
