Florida detective caught on camera punching handcuffed woman

MIAMI -- A Miami Beach police detective was caught on camera punching a handcuffed woman in the face and then kicking her.

The woman had been arrested on suspicion of intoxication and being uncooperative with police. The video was just released, but the incident happened almost two years ago.

Prosecutors declined to press charges, but a new police administration has now suspended the detective for 160 hours.

His reprimand states: "You met this slight woman's meager schoolyard kick with excessive, unwarranted force."
