RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A dinosaur replica stolen from an exhibit at the Natural Sciences Museum in downtown Raleigh is now back on display.
Museum officials say the baby Edmontosaurus has been repainted, and was installed with a new anchoring system.
"We had it returned with virtually no damage so it's back in its nest," said N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences Director Emlyn Koster.
Surveillance video caught a couple stealing the replica earlier this month.
Todd Ritchey and Alyssa Lavacca later turned themselves in to police. They are both facing felony charges.
Museum officials say they are confident that after the high-profile coverage of this heist, there likely won't be a repeat attempt.
"We don't believe that this is going to reoccur," said Koster. "Besides which we wouldn't want to change the whole nesting configuration. That's the way the dinosaur nests of this type looked and so we've restored it to the way it looked."
The dinosaur is worth about $10,000.
