Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a teen

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened Sunday afternoon.

Officials said it happened in the 2700 block of Rochelle Street around 12:15 p.m.

According to police, a 19-year-old man was standing outside when a dark-colored car opened fire.

The victim was hit in the forearm. His injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

According to witnesses, two cars were shooting at each other.

It is unclear if the victim was the intended target.

Police are still searching for suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Durham Police Department.
