CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Law enforcement officials sprung a drug sweep Tuesday morning at the Goodyear plant, Cumberland County's biggest civilian employer.
Drug sniffing dogs searched vehicles in the employee parking lot, as well as work areas inside the huge radial tire plant, just north of Fayetteville.
A sheriff's department spokesman said employees were not allowed to leave the plant during the drug sweep.
No illegal drugs were found.
Goodyear officials said the unannounced narcotics sweep was part of a safety training drill with law enforcement officers and company security.
