Durham father charged in death of 2-month-old

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department says a father has been indicted in the death of his 2-month-old daughter earlier this month.

Alex Lee Noel, 22, is charged with murder.

Investigators opened the case after Karina Noel was taken to the hospital May 7. She died May 8.

Alex Noel was first arrested on May 7 and charged with felony child abuse.

He remains in the Durham County Jail.
