Durham man accused of severe child abuse

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department has charged a man with hitting his girlfriend's 5-year-old so severely the child suffered a laceration to the liver.

Twenty-nine-year-old Harold Daeshaun Sanders was arrested Wednesday.

He's charged with intentional child abuse causing serious physical injury.
