Durham police cracking down on celebratory gunfire

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Some people in Durham celebrated the arrival of 2017 by firing off gunshots, but police weren't having it.

Our crew witnessed at least two incidents where officers went after people who were shooting guns.

Those people were taken into custody for questioning.

Officers said they are trying to crack down on this activity. No injuries were reported.
