A car came to Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital with bullet hole in window

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- Two men in Fayetteville are recovering after a drive-by shooting early Sunday.

Fayetteville police responded to a call about gunshots fired near Newark Avenue just before 3 a.m.

Investigators later discovered that someone opened fire as Mitchell Bridges was driving along Murchison Road near Henderson Drive.

Bridges and his passenger Kabron Gunther were both shot.

Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are still searching for the person who pulled the trigger.
