A Fallen Firefighters memorial took place in Raleigh on Saturday

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Fire departments from all corners of North Carolina gathered in downtown Raleigh on Saturday for the 10th annual Fallen Firefighters memorial service.

It started with a parade featuring a truck from each fire station that suffered a loss.

Two men from the area were honored this year: Thomas Lee, from the Four Oaks Fire Department, and John Gupton, from the Justice Rural Fire Department in Franklin County.

Gupton died last September when his fire truck flipped while responding to a call.
