Fayetteville man arrested in connection with bank robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police have arrested a man in connection with a bank robbery Friday morning.

Taurean James Keels, 29, has been charged with common law robbery and possession of stolen property.

The robbery happened at PNC Bank at 454 Ramsey Street around 9 a.m.

Investigators believe Keels obtained an undetermined amount of money after passing a note to the teller demanding money, then fled the scene.

Officers who responded to the scene observed and detained a person matching the description of the robbery suspect along the Grove Street corridor.

Keel was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center.

His bond was set at $10,000.
