Fayetteville woman wanted for sexual exploit of a minor

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville woman is facing charges in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

Police are searching for 25-year-old Brittany Latrice Herndon in connection with an incident that happened on August 16.

Details surrounding the incident have not been released, but authorities have issued warrants charging Herndon with first degree sexual exploit of a minor and promoting prostitution of a juvenile.

Detectives say they are encouraging Herndon's friends and family to have Herndon surrender herself to authorities.
