DURHAM (WTVD) -- Firefighters say flames were tearing through the roof of a split level home in the 12-hundred block of Red Oak Avenue when they arrived just after 10:30 Wednesday night.
It took them just 15 minutes to get the blaze under control, but the building was completely destroyed.
The fire also melted the headlights and damaged the paint on a car parked nearby, but no one was home at the time and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
