RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Authorities in Raleigh had to block off part of Capital Boulevard near downtown due to a gas leak Thursday morning.

The leak was reported around 9:30 a.m. along Capital Boulevard near Peace Street.

PSNC says a construction crew hit a 4-inch natural gas line in front of a U-Haul store near the northbound lanes.

Gas crews were able to cap the line within 20 minutes of arriving at the scene. Only one customer was affected by the break. No evacuations were issued.

The lanes were closed for several hours while repairs were made. All lanes have since reopened.
