Henderson man accused of lying about carjacking

A Henderson man charged in a hit-and-run on Capital Boulevard is accused of lying to police and telling them that he had been carjacked after the crash.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Henderson man charged in a hit-and-run on Capital Boulevard is accused of lying to police and telling them that he had been carjacked after the crash.

Jerry Cousins faces charges of hit and run, and filing a false police report.

Raleigh police arrested him Sunday morning after an accident at the corner of Capital Boulevard and Spring Forest Road.

Officers say Latisha Wooten was injured in the crash.

Cousins is due in court Monday.
