House fire in Durham spreads to neighboring home

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A fire in Durham destroyed one home and spread to another house early Saturday morning.

It happened around 6:15 a.m. in the 100 block of South Maple Street.

Fire officials say the first house was unoccupied when the blaze broke out. It then spread to another unoccupied home, before crews got it under control.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
