Man burned in suspected Johnston County meth lab explosion

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- A man is recovering in the hospital after being burned in a suspected meth lab explosion in Johnston County.

It happened Wednesday evening at a mobile home in the 5800 block of Bizzel Grove Church Road near Princeton.

Emergency crews were called to house after it caught on fire due to the explosion.

Officials had to decontaminate a man inside the home before taking him to the hospital.

The man was reportedly seriously burned, but his condition is unknown at this time.

Firefighters at the scene also had to be decontaminated.
