Man charged in Raleigh shooting

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police have charged 22-year-old Darius Khaalid Wilcher with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in connection with Friday's shooting of 26-year-old Anthony Wayne Williams, Jr. just after 10 a.m. in the 3,100 block of Crandon Lane.

Investigators did not give a motive for the shooting.

Wilcher was taken to the Wake County Detention Center.
