LOMBARD, Ill. -- Junior A. Espinal, 32, is charged with driving his vehicle into the front of a 7-Eleven store in west suburban Lombard, Illinois police said.

Police found a 2004 Acura running in the middle of the store around 9 a.m. Sunday, officials said. The store's clerk told police that a man allegedly drove through the front of the store and then fled on foot.

Police used a description to search the area, finding Espinal, who told police his vehicle's brake pedal stuck while he was pulling up to the store, officials said.

Espinal also did not have a valid driver's license, police said, and is in custody at DuPage County Jail. No injuries were reported.
