Missing girl safe, father turns himself in to Fuquay-Varina police
Police say the girl's father, 29-year-old Devine Dashawn Exum, turned himself in to police Thursday evening in Fuquay-Varina.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WTVD) -- An AMBER Alert for 2-year-old London Exum was canceled Thursday evening after she was turned into police in Wake County.

Police said London's father, 29-year-old Devine Dashawn Exum, turned himself in to police around 7 p.m. in Fuquay-Varina. Police said London appeared unharmed and in good spirits.

Authorities in Pitt County said Devine Exum stabbed his ex-girlfriend just after 11 a.m. Thursday morning at the River Walk Apartments and then kidnapped the couple's daughter.

Exum was wanted on charges of first-degree kidnapping, rape, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Devine Dashawn Exum is being held at the Wake County Jail. London is being cared for by Wake County Child Protective Services until she can be reunited with her family.
