FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville woman charged in the January murder of her 18-month-old daughter has been extradited.
According to Fayetteville police, 20-year-old Vanessa Sanchez was brought back to Fayetteville from Colorado Friday morning.
Sanchez was arrested there months ago alongside her boyfriend Andrew Tomczak, 20, who is also charged in the murder.
The couple is accused of physically and sexually abusing Sanchez's 18-month-old daughter, Violet Cortez, resulting in the child's death.
Tomczak waived extradition in May, but Sanchez fought it.
Sanchez pleaded not guilty in court Friday afternoon.
At last report, she was being held in the Cumberland County jail under no bond.
