Motorcyclist collides with deer in southern Wake County

NEW HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning after colliding with a deer in southern Wake County.

It happened just before 2 a.m. in the area of Old US Hwy 1 and New Hill Olive Chapel Road.

The deer was killed.

The motorcycle rider suffered broken bones.
