STORE WORKERS TAKE COVER IN TORNADO

Surveillance video from inside a store in the town of Longview, Washington shows the scary moments as workers take cover while debris hurled by a tornado hits the front window of the store. You can items inside the store begin to fly.

No one was hurt, but the tornado did cause extensive damage.

ROBBER BEAT DOWN

In Chile, a man boarded a bus and attempted to snatch a woman's purse. But as he tried to get off the bus, the driver slammed the door - trapping the man's hand.

The driver than whacked the suspect with a bat over and over, as the thief tried to talk his way out of the beating, saying he was just joking.

By the eighth whack, the thief was crying. The driver stopped the bus at a police station and handed him off to officers.

SOLAR ECLIPSE

We have some great time-lapse video of Thursday's solar eclipse.

Not everyone in the United States had a chance to see it. People living in the central time zone had the best view, but this video is from Denver in the Mountain Time zone.

If you missed this one, NASA says there will be more dramatic solar eclipses over North America in about three years.

HALLOWEEN LIGHTS

We've seen Christmas lights in elaborate displays before, but now a southern California homeowner is doing the same with Halloween decorations.

Two years ago, a homeowner's association pulled the plug on the display after neighbors complained of crowds and traffic. So creator Kevin Judd and his wife Amber convinced friends to let them set up the show in their house instead.

It took months to program the 30-minute show complete with four singing pumpkin faces. The display also has a pumpkin-filled cemetery.

The only frightening thing about it is likely the electric bill for all those lights.
