NCCU kicks off Homecoming Weekend in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- North Carolina Central University is celebrating its Homecoming Weekend, and the school is taking steps to help its community.

NCCU is collecting water and non-perishable food to help Hurricane Matthew victims. You can drop those items off anytime between Friday and Monday.

Meanwhile, the school is hosting its Founder's Day Convocation, welcoming thousands of alumni back to Durham.

The Eagles play Savannah State Saturday at 2 p.m.
