Notorious Fayetteville apartment complex to remain open

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville apartment complex with a violent past is getting yet another chance.

Barrington Place, formerly known as Cambridge Arms, struck a deal with the city after city leaders were trying to shut it down.

To stay open, the owner has agreed to beef up security including random apartment checks and additional security gates and guards.

The complex is home to a number of Fort Bragg soldiers.

The post recently barred military personnel from signing or renewing leases at the complex.
