Pastor slams car into downed tree in Apex

APEX, N.C. (WTVD) -- As the rain continues to come down, many trees are coming down as well because of the saturated ground.

Saturday morning a tree fell on Buckingham Way near Downing Place in Apex.

Our crew was on the scene and witnessed a driver slamming into it.

Pastor David Parks was headed to a prayer meeting and said he went around a sharp curve and didn't see it until it was too late.

"Work of nature, what can you do?" said Parks.

He was not injured in the crash.

Parks said he has even more to pray for now - everybody.
