Pedestrian hit by car in Fayetteville seriously injured

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A person crossing Ramsey Street in Fayetteville was hit by a car late Thursday night and is listed in serious condition, according to Fayetteville police.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. near the Meadowcroft Drive intersection. The pedestrian was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The driver involved in the crash was not injured.

Officers are investigating and will release more information as it becomes available. Police did not immediately identify the victim.
