RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a wreck that happened during Thursday night's storm.

Police said it happened just after 8 p.m. on Western Boulevard and I-440 eastbound.

Authorities said 26-year-old David Tart lost control of his 2006 Chevy pickup truck.

Tart's passenger, 38-year-old Michael Gardner, was thrown from the truck and fell from the overpass onto Western Blvd, according to officials.

Officials said Gardner was not injured, despite the fall.

As Tart's truck slid along the bridge guardrail, it struck a sign over Western Boulevard, knocking the sign down. The sign fell onto an Acura driven by Sarah Cauley of Raleigh.

Neither Tart nor Cauley were hurt.

It is not yet known if charges will be filed.
