Raleigh police investigate fatal shooting at motel on Capital Boulevard

Authorities say they responded to a call of a shots fired early Sunday morning at the Sun Suites on Capital Boulevard.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a homicide Sunday morning.

Authorities say they responded to a call of a shots fired around 2:20 a.m. at the Sun Suites motel in the 3200 block of Capital Boulevard.

When police arrived, they found 36-year-old Terry Lebrone Wilson shot to death.

Investigators say Wilson was shot while he and another man were trying to commit an armed robbery in one of the hotel rooms.

The other man may have fled in a small, gold car shortly after the shooting, according to Raleigh police.

No charges have been filed, and the police continue to search for the second man involved.
