Durham police are on the hunt for a suspect who they say flashed a woman near her home Monday.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are on the hunt for a suspect who they say flashed a woman near her home Monday morning.

Officers responded to an incident in the Woodlake Community near the clubhouse around 10:30 a.m. They say a woman told them a man exposed himself to her then got into a silver car and drove off.

She told police he was parked near the playground area. The woman described the suspect as being a black male in his mid to late 20s and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a white shirt and tan shorts.

David White, who is the president of the area neighborhood association, said the woman told him she had recognized the man from being in the neighborhood earlier that morning. Whether he lives in the area is not clear.

If you know any information, you're asked to call the Durham Police Department at (919) 560-4322. If you notice anything suspicious in that area, call 911.
