Police: Son stabs, kills father in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating after they say a father was stabbed to death by his son Sunday afternoon.

It happened just before 12:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Marquis Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a man, 54-year-old Donald Fields Sr. of Durham, with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later, police said.

Authorities arrested Donald Fields Jr., 23, of Durham Sunday evening and charged him with murder.
