WAKE FOREST, NC (WTVD) -- The Wake Forest Police Department says 39-year-old Lanson Stalf, the suspect in the Tuesday murder of his wife Stephanie Autry, is suspected of robbing a bank Friday in Hernando, Mississippi.

Stalf allegedly robbed the Community Bank of Hernando around 11:00 Friday morning after handing a bank teller a note claiming he had a weapon. Hernando is just south of Memphis, Tennessee.

The Wake Forest Police Department has been looking for Stalf since his 34-year-old wife was found slain in her home in the 4400 block of Iyar Way late Tuesday night when officers went there to conduct a welfare check.
