Raleigh man charged in connection with house fire that killed dog
Oscar Lee Spearman faces charges of second-degree arson.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man is facing charges in connection with a house fire that killed a family dog.

According to arrest warrants obtained by ABC11, Raleigh police charged Oscar Lee Spearman with second-degree arson and felony cruelty to animals.

Investigators say Spearman intentionally set fire Friday night to a house in the 800-block of Beverly Drive.

Arrest warrants accuse him of killing a chihuahua that was inside the home.

The fire destroyed the house.
