Raleigh police looking for robbery suspect

Raleigh police are tracking a man wanted in four armed robberies.
Police say the suspect robbed a BP convenience store and four Handee Hugos between May and the end of June.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department has released a surveillance photo of a man investigators say was behind four robberies.

The photo is from a May 8 robbery of a BP station at 2570 S. Wilmington St at 11 p.m.

Investigators say they believe the same man was behind the June 4 robbery of the Handee Hugo's at 2837 Wake Forest Rd., which was reported at 2:03 a.m.

Also:

  • The June 7 robbery of the Handee Hugo's at 2800 Tryon Rd., which was reported at 12:39 a.m.
  • The June 27 robbery of the Handee Hugo's at 2581 Gorman St., which was reported at 1:42 a.m.
  • The suspect is described as a black male who stands about 6 feet tall, has a slender build and has been described as being in his 20s to early 30s. In each of the robberies, the suspect has been armed with a dark, revolver.

    He has worn various hoodies during the crimes, including a white one, which has "Hollister" on its front in red lettering, a white one with a large eagle on the back, and the gray one seen in one of the photos.
