CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- The medical examiner has positively identified remains found in Charlotte late last week as missing teacher Bianca Tanner.
Authorities in Mecklenburg County had been searching for the 31-year-old with ties to the Triangle after she vanished in Charlotte on June 8.
Tanner's boyfriend, Angelo Grayson Smith Jr., was arraigned in Charlotte Monday afternoon.
He's charged with first-degree murder.
Smith was arrested after police found the body last week, about 15 miles from his apartment.
Police sources say it was Smith's fraternity brother who led investigators to the body.
