Royal Baby by the Numbers
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's newest addition has arrived and it's a girl!
Prince William, 32, and Duchess Kate, 33, welcomed their second child today in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, the same place where Kate gave birth to the couple's first child, Prince George, in July 2013.
Born at 8:34 a.m. local time, she weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, according to an official announcement from Kensington Palace. In keeping with tradition, the official birth announcement was delivered by a palace footman and posted outside Buckingham Palace, the home of the queen. The same easel was used after Prince George's birth.
The baby's name has yet to be announced. As royal fans await the name and first official photo, here are some fast stats about the baby girl's birth and the world awaiting her.

WEIGHT: 8 pounds, 3 ounces
POSITION IN LINE TO THRONE: Fourth. The newborn is fourth in line to the British throne after her grandfather, Prince Charles, her father, Prince William, and her older brother, Prince George.
NUMBER OF DAYS ROYAL FANS CAMPED OUTSIDE ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL: At least 14. Kate and William sent two boxes of pastries and croissants and coffee to those fans who camped outside the hospital.
ESTIMATED COST OF 1-NIGHT STAY IN A SUITE OF TWO ROOMS AT ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL's LINDO WING: 6,570 pounds, or about $10,000 for a normal delivery.
NUMBER OF YEARS SINCE PRINCESS DIANA HAD WILLIAM AT ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL: 32. Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William on June 21, 1982, in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London after 17 hours of labor.

The baby is the queen's fifth great-grandchild. The reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, turned 89 on April 21 and ascended the throne in 1952.

There's Prince Harry, 30, fellow "spare" to the heir of the throne. And who could forget Kate's younger sister, Pippa Middleton, 31, who turned heads at William and Kate's wedding in 2011, along with her younger brother, James Middleton, 28, not pictured.
NUMBER OF NANNIES: 1. Maria Borrallo, the same nanny who takes care of Prince George, who will turn two in July, will also care for the new royal bundle of joy.

BABY'S ESTIMATED BOOST TO BRITISH ECONOMY: $120 million. The birth may boost the British economy by $120 million in retail spending, an expert told ABC News. It's estimated that there was a $400 million economic bonanza that came with the arrival of Prince George in 2013.
FINAL BETTING ODDS FOR A GIRL OR A BOY: 8:15 or 11:8. Ladbrokes, a bookmaker in England, had the odds of the newest royal being a girl at 8:15 and a boy at 11:8.
