DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are asking for the public's help in identifying an alleged suspect in a sexual assault that happened last month.

On May 25th, authorities said a woman was walking in an alley between Ninth and Iredell streets around 12:30 a.m. when a man with a knife pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

She was later taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The suspect is described as having a medium-brown complexion, an athletic build and a close-cut hair style. He appeared to be in his late teens to mid-20s and is about 5' 3" to 5' 6" tall.
