CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Close to 400 UNC-Chapel Hill students are starting off the school year without a permanent place to call home.
It's all because their new off-campus apartments weren't ready in time.
The students were supposed to live at the Lux at Central Park, but construction is running behind schedule.
For now, the students are being put up in hotels around Chapel Hill.
"We were a little bit discouraged in the beginning because finally we were going to have a place to call our home, but the Sheraton's really
nice," said student Summer Sanders.
The Lux's management company says they expect some students to begin moving into their apartments next week.
For the rest, arrangements have been made for them to stay on-campus until the units are ready.
