Students charged after altercation at Wayne County high school

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Three students at a Wayne County high school are facing charges following a fight Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the fight began at the start of the school day at Charles B. Aycock High School.

The school's resource officer spotted one of the students assaulting a classmate and ordered the student to stop. When the teen refused, and then attacked another student, the deputy tasered the teen.

All three students involved in the incident were charged following an investigation.

The student tasered is 15-years-old and is being charged on a juvenile petition with engaging in an affray and communication a threat, after the student threatened the vice-principal of the school.

Lebar Leslie, 17, and Jaquan Ray, 18, were each charged on citation with engaging in an affray.
