SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police in Smithfield said a woman was arrested Monday after she assaulted the manager of a Dollar General store in the 800 block of South Brightleaf Boulevard.
Police said the suspect, 25-year-old Tabitha Nicole Johnson, of Smithfield pulled up in front of the store in a no parking area, which caused the manager to ask Johnson to move her car.
Johnson went into the store and reportedly threw a bottle of bleach at the manager before leaving.
When the manager went outside to write down Johnson's license plate number, she reportedly struck him with her car.
Johnson has been charged with assault and battery. She received a $5,000 bond and will next appear in court on Sept. 15.
Police said the store manager was not injured.
