SUV crashes into Durham home

DURHAM (WTVD) -- An SUV slammed into a Durham home early Friday morning after the driver said she lost control.

It happened around 6 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lincoln Street.

According to witnesses, the driver said she lost control at a curve in the road, causing her vehicle to jump a curb and go down an embankment before crashing into the single-story house.

The driver was reportedly shaken up by the incident, but not injured.

The front of the house was damaged. It is unknown if anyone was inside at the time of the crash.

Charges are pending against the driver.
