BURLINGTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A taxi driver was killed early Wednesday in a collision with a home in Burlington.

FOX8 reports the man was thrown out of the car and trapped beneath the rubble.

Investigators were looking into the possibility the man might have suffered some kind of medical problem before the crash.

The front of the home at Maple Avenue and Anthony Street was demolished by the impact.

A woman inside was not hurt, but her home is now not livable.
